Shout outs!

Recently, there have been big developments in the lives of some of our friends. Because the Internet makes keeping up with each other so easy, I thought I would tell a bit about some of our friends and their blogs (also listed to the side).
My sister Bethany and her husband Dan are moving to Malawi, Africa in August to teach at the Bible College there. They will be teaching the children of missionaries at the school and will also be able to serve in the local ministries to the men in jail and AIDS orphans. Check out their blog to see how you can help support them. They will need our prayers and help as they go to serve God in this way.
Our friend Matt Mosely and his wife, Heather (who we have yet to meet!) have just welcomed Sam into the world. We go waaay back with Matt, as he was the bass player in a band with Nathan, while in high school and college. He moved to Franklin when he was in the seventh (?) grade and we've been friends ever since. It's cool to see our old friends getting married and having babies. There's been another new arrival, too. Elasaid Bailey made her debut on Monday, May 7th (her due date!!), to her parents Tim and Whitney and big brother Beothan. So far it seems that the Bailey parents are enchanted with their new little girl and have also been posting regular updates showcasing their newest addition. And last but not least, our friends, Jon and Jen and Grace, who live in Spokane now, recently took a trip to Las Vegas with family. The Growing Grace blog has beautiful pictures of sunny warm places and shows off Amos' girlfriend and future wife! ;) When they visited in March, Amos and Grace were taken with each other and enjoyed hanging out together. Jen and I had fun too!
All of our blog friends continue to update with posts of growth, new skills, new developments, additions and goings-ons. I know that it's rather unrelational to be on the internet looking at folks, but it's a good way at least, for us moms and dads to keep up on each other and to delight in our children and their friends. I am glad the technology is available and enjoy being a blogger myself!
