We've had a good rest of the week and today is Sunday, our new work day. We get to have Mondays off but it's still been a good rest day.
Walking through the house on E 20th St was great. It's a great house and although the realtor said the buyer probably won't accept an offer for $175,000 (down from $230,000) we decided to put an offer in and see what happens. The neighborhoods around the church are really nice and just out of our price range. Kind of a bummer, as we would LOVE to live near the church (Nathan has really enjoyed the walk) and be near our church community. This house has both, so please, pray with us for a miracle!
Hopefully this link will pull up the house. http://www.talktotucker.com/property/property.asp?PRM_MLSNumber=2737727&PRM_MlsName=MIBOR&VAR_AgentCode=&VAR_OfficeCode=&showReturn=yes
The week was full of dinners with new friends and driving around, looking at houses. We are making friends quickly and everyone here is really really friendly. We have been with people with six kids, two kids and no kids and all have been a real delight. Amos is enjoying being around so many people so often and he may even get to enjoy the people in the church nursery next week! :)
Speaking of which, this morning was Nathan's first morning to lead worship and it all went quite well. Amos was soooo wiggly that he almost went to the nursery. But because he is getting over a cold, I am not so quick to subject others to his germs and vice versa. Maybe next week.
He's gotten over his cold, and I'm almost over mine, thankful that both were very mild (again, due to our new best friend, Zycam, and lots of prayer!). Amos also spent the majority of the night last night asleep in his own bed (very exciting) and is getting so good at army crawling. In fact, most nights his shirt is dingy from all of the belly crawling he's been doing!
1439 Broadway is getting work done and hopefully we'll be moving in soon, to rent, as we look for a house to call home. The Berends are great, though, letting us stay for as long as necessary.
That's all for now, hopefully I'll remember to blog more frequently in the week to come!
