We're here in exquisite Davenport, Iowa, on the border of Illinios. We hope to arrive in Indy tomorrow by late afternoon, and check everything out. Our day went well today. We drove alot, taking advantage of not going into another time zone and losing an hour. It has been so cool to go from state to state, watching the terrain and climate change as we move east. We went from the Oregon coast, which was cool and breezy, to California and Nevada, which were dry and hot, to Utah, which was still hot but was a bit more green, to Wyoming and the rolling hills/mountains there to Nebraska, and the fields to Iowa and corn as far as the eye can see. What a neat country we call home!
Amos did well today, playing with toys and sleeping sufficiently. Tonight after arriving to our hotel, we went swimming and had a blast. Amos wanted us to let go of him the whole time so he could do his "crawling" and we laughed at how he just didn't get it! He is crashed out on the bed, despite us moving about. It's also been an experience to watch tv with him. He interacts with it, especially if there's a dog on tv. He loves dogs! This will end his tv watching though, as we will go back to life without cable (for the good of us all!).

We are sad that our vacation is over but are excited to see what life there will look like, beginning with the house! Everyone there has already been so sweet, which will help ease the pain (just a little) of being away from all of our dear Seattle family.
Getting the wiggles out at a train car near a gas station in Wyoming!
Fun in the car together!
Fun in the big bathtub with the cold water faucet!
