Brisk, breezy Friday

Here we are at the end of our second week, being in our new house. We are continuing to be thankful for God's provision in this house and feel like we are constantly seeing confirmation that this really is the right house. Last night we met with the contractor, Danny, who is going to be remodeling the attic space. He and his crew will be here Monday and will hopefully be done before Christmas. We talked last night about adding on to the existing staircase, having it continue up from the second floor, up to the attic. He looked at the space and told us it was possible. Yay! Right now, we get up to the attic by going up a tiny, two foot stairway. If we do the other option, we will be able to call this house a five bedroom, two and a half bath house, because we will have a stairway that is up to code. So that's very exciting!
My dad is on his way to Africa today to do some traveling and performing with a group from Franklin called the African Leadership Group. He will be there for 2 weeks and at the end of the trip, will get to see Beth and Dan!! They are all excited to see each other. Please pray for safety in travels and health for my Dad, as he goes from place to place!
Today Amos is continuing to get better from his cold, but I think is also continuing to teeth, so he's a bit out of sorts. I hope to finish this post soon and run up to shower before he wakes up!
Lastly, I have one prayer request. Good family friends of ours, the Peabodys, need our prayers. Little Joseph, who is Allen and Gillian's son (they are our age) and Kathy and Rick's grandson (who are my parents' age) was diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier in the week. And today, as I type this, is in surgery to have it removed. They don't know yet if it's cancerous, and won't know for another week, but the surgery is long and instense, possibly 15 hours long. Joseph is 3 and has a little sister, Holly. Please pray for their family, the surgery and the possible outcomes and implications this condition has for them.
