(my apologies for the lack of pictures on this post. for whatever reason, i cannot seem to get them added, so i will have to try again later!)
We are continuing to get settled in, set up rooms, unpack and build IKEA furniture! We also are getting the attic remodeled! That's right, hopefully by the new year, we'll have two more bedrooms and an additional full bath. With all of that space, Nathan will finally get to have the studio he's always wanted and we'll have a guest suite for our many guests who will come and visit! ;)
Amos is officially not sick, which is great! But, he is teething on and off, which gives him a runny nose and contributes to a cough. The cough is intense, too. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it shakes his little body and makes his face turn red! And at night, it's tough too. He wakes up with coughing fits and usually ends up crying. We do have the humidifier on and that seems to help! He is as busy as ever, and this morning, while Nathan was building the new TV hutch, Amos picked up two screw drivers and tried to tighten a screw, with them both. It's awesome to sit and watch his little mind work, as he tries to do what we're doing, being our little helper.
Work on our attic has officially begun, as I mentioned. The guys get here at 7 am, work really hard and leave around 4. This morning we woke up to sawing and intense pounding right over our heads. We just giggled. Amos slept through the noise until about 7:45 which worked, because he went to bed last night around 9. I am hoping this remodel helps us get him back on an early schedule, as he's been up late and sleeping in. Which I don't really mind, but it's nice to have time at night to hang out, just us two! :) And right now, he's in his highchair, having a nap. I know it's not a great habit to encourage, but right now, that's the only way he's going to get a nap around here!
We've had snow and may get more. And it is super cold here too. This morning it was 12 degrees. I sure am not used to that! We went for a playdate yesterday morning, but since returning home, for lunch, have been here ever since. Good thing we love our new house. The living room is especially bright with our new white-ish curtains up!
