Sorry about the lack of blogging. Amos has been pretty sick and teething and yesterday, began feeling better. It's been quite a haul, but I'm thankful we're at the end, at least for now!

Moving in and childproofing......have been great. It is so nice to be able to put latches on cupboards and gates on stairs! Amos is perplexed by them, but moves on after being denied access! Too, we miss our Berend family and try to play with them regularly!
Our first dinner at our house, the Saturday we moved in. We are eating with our friend Christa and are surrrounded by our life in boxes!
Amos loves his new pots and pans from IKEA which are just his size!

Amos' new skills and words:
Amos continues to say Da-da and even signs please then says Da-da when he wants Nathan. It's very cute and encouraging to see him bond with Nathan.
Amos is also getting really good at hugging. He's always sort of randomly patted our shoulder, but now, after I said "thank you" once after he patted me, he got the picture and has been doing it ever since. He is quite sweet and tender, which is good to be reminded of from time to time!
I also got him a magna doodle, which he draws on constantly. It's great to see his hands get better at holding pen and watching his strokes change as he grows.
We did a belated Thanksgiving painting project the other day, which he really enjoyed. Now, we just have to finish them and make them look like little turkeys!

Nathan's sister, Christen came up Monday afternoon to help us paint the living room and dining room. It was a huge help and blessing for her to give us her availability and even though we helped her, she did most of the work. Again, such an awesome blessing! Our house is starting to feel more like ours now, which is good, and we'll keep chipping away at all that is left to be done!
Green be gone! We made the rooms a beautiful silvery blue that makes the rooms feel lighter, cleaner and all around better!
Christmastime is here!
And we watched our favorite Christmas show, Charlie Brown Christmas, on TV last night. I was thankful to see it on so I didn't have to unpack our movies just yet. Amos loved it, especially the music! :)
A new way to nap, nap nap:
The Monday after we moved in, Amos fell asleep in his high chair during a breathing treatment. So I left him there and added water so he could have some humidity during the nap. He slept for a long time! So I've done that almost every afternoon since, giving him a good nap, which he needs while sick, and me a break to get things done!
