More moving in progress

Yesterday we dove into more boxes, unpacking their contents and exclaiming with delight, upon each discovery. We have been waiting to find our lamp hardware so we could put the lampshades on, and yesterday, we finally found them! We also put guitars on the walls (very important in our house!), found boxes with shelf nicknacks and pictures, and organized the everything drawers. Another big thing that we got done was to set up the desktop computer and "office" space in the little nook in my closet. We will eventually put up a curtain to hide the office mess, but for now, it's nice to have a good computer hooked up with reliable internet access!

It has been a satisfying weekend to have alot of that done and though we have more to do, we take heart with each step forward. We still have many more things to put up on the walls and other pictures to display, but I've enjoyed this slow pace, as it's been a good way to ease the transistion.

Tomorrow, work on extending the staircase continues. We have enough space in the stairwell for more stairs and we think that tomorrow is the day they will start to take out the ceiling!!! It's so exciting and unimaginable right now, but hopefully it will all go well and look great when it's done! So here it is, the "before" picture.
